Increasing Facebook Organic Reach

In recent years, Facebook has moved way from an organic real-time feed and towards a curated and controlled flow of News Feed content. One of the large reasons for this happening is the shear volume of posts being produced. Businesses and friends are all competing for space on News Feed. Of the 1,500+ stories a person might see whenever they log onto Facebook, News Feed displays approximately 300. Increasingly, marketers and brands are looking for ways to combat this decline in the organic reach.
​Here are some ways you can help improve your organic Facebook reach:
  • Create content that is unique to Facebook. It is important to have unique voices for each of the platforms that your brand publishes on. Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have their own post styles and features. Take the time to understand how these platforms handle posts. 
  • Focus on building a community of "brand advocates" not just random followers. Brand advocates are those followers who are most likely to engage with the content you produce and therefore increase the reach of your posts. 
Facebook Posting Best Practices:
  • Including photos and videos in your posts will help to increase the engagement and reach of your Facebook posts. 
  • Check Facebook insights to see when the best time to post is and what content performs best. 
  • Keep text simple and clear, with a well defined call-to-action.
